Last updated: 16 September 2026
PhysPath Australia (“PhysPath”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect your personal information, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
By using our website or submitting a form to us, you agree to the handling of your personal information as described in this policy.
1. What is personal information?
Personal information is any information or opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable — such as your name, contact details, or professional history. Some information is sensitive information (for example, health information or professional registration details), which receives extra protection under the Privacy Act. We only collect sensitive information where it is reasonably necessary and with your consent.

- Any other information you choose to provide in our forms or communications.
From employers and clinics
- Business or clinic name and ABN;

- Details of the roles or staffing needs you are recruiting for.
From website visitors
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and device;
- Usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information:
- Directly from you — through our website forms (which are powered by Tally), by email, or by phone;
- Automatically — through cookies and analytics when you use our website;
- From third parties — for example, from a referee you have nominated, where relevant to a role.
Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you. If we receive information about you that we did not request, we will handle it in accordance with the APPs.
4. Why we collect it and how we use it
We use personal information to:
- Match physiotherapists with suitable clinics and roles;
- Facilitate recruitment, placement and related services;
- Communicate with you and respond to your enquiries;
- Improve our website and services;
- Send you marketing communications where you have consented (you can opt out at any time);
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
5. How we disclose it
We may disclose your personal information to:
- Prospective employers or candidates — for example, we share a candidate's details with a clinic for a role, with the candidate's consent;
- Service providers who help us operate — such as our form provider (Tally), website hosting, email and CRM tools, and analytics providers;
- Authorities where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia (for example, in the United States or European Union). Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs. By providing your information, you acknowledge it may be stored or processed overseas by these providers.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve your experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
8. How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information we hold.
9. How long we keep it
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
10. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period.
11. Automated decision-making
Where we use automated tools to help match candidates with roles, a person remains involved in decisions that significantly affect you. If you would like more information about how these tools are used, please contact us.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the “last updated” date shown at the top.
